XL Exotic Cutting Boards, not your ordinary cutting boards. These boards are heavy and durable. Large enough to cut variety of items. Size 12"X24"X1.75"

Handmade to perfection. Each wood species are cut into size and inspected for quality before jointing. We use Tite bond 3 waterproof glue for maximum glue up.

This Exotic board consist of different wood species from around the world. African Paduak, Indian laurel, Hububalli and Wenge.

Board comes with hand grip and 4 rubber feet to ensure no movement while cutting.

Get to know your wood species

African Paduak -
Pterocarpus soyauxii, the African padauk or African coralwood, is a species of Pterocarpus in the family Fabaceae, native to central and tropical west Africa, from Nigeria east to Congo-Kinshasa and south to Angola. The leaves are edible, and contain large amounts of vitamin C; they are eaten as a leaf vegetable. Bark extracts are used in herbal medicine to treat skin parasites and fungal infections. The wood is valuable, it is very durable, red at first, becoming purplish-brown on exposure to light.

Indian Laurel -
also known as Terminalia elliptica (syn. T. tomentosa) comes from Southern Asia (primarily India and Myanmar). Varies from light brown to dark brown with darker, nearly black streaks. Sapwood is a pale pinkish color, clearly demarcated from the heartwood.

Wenge -
Dark colored Heartwood, is the product of Millettia laurentii. Millettia laurentii is a legume tree from Africa and native to the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Heartwood is medium brown, sometimes with a reddish or yellowish hue, with nearly black streaks. Upon application of a wood finish (particularly an oil finish) the wood can become nearly black.

Hububalli -
also known as Loxopterygium sagotii comes from South America. Heartwood primarily light reddish brown, commonly with darker streaks. The heartwood is fluoresces when put under a blacklight.

Please advise boards might be off by 1/4-1/2" due to the nature of these wood from cutting.
